Karol Czubak, Motor Lublin's striker, was chosen as the best striker in Ekstraklasa. A few days later, he got married, and then he made his debut in the Poland national team for the first time in his career. In short, it was probably the best week of his life. Before the match against Ukraine, coach Jan Urban hinted that Czubak could make his debut, just like the other new players in the team. - There's no Piątek, Buksy, because we want to check Żukowski and Czubak - he said. As for Żukowski, he got 45 minutes against Ukraine, while Czubak appeared on the pitch at PGE Narodowy in the 90th minute. And what, he didn't make a single contact with the ball. He was close to a long throw-in once. The debut was made, but it's hard to talk about a performance that will be remembered by Czubak for years to come. - I'm not smart enough to evaluate a player after a few minutes of play. I didn't get any response. But sometimes it happens - someone comes to the national team and doesn't play at all. Such situations occur. Today, Karol is certainly happy, even delighted, because he made his debut. It's very important to him and will stay in his memory for a long time, but I wouldn't dare to evaluate him after those few minutes - coach Urban commented at the press conference. What about Czubak? - The last few days have been really unusual for me. The award for the best striker in Ekstraklasa, the call-up, and the debut in the national team, which is the fulfillment of one of my greatest sporting dreams. And, of course, one of the most beautiful moments in my private life, namely the wedding - Czubak said through the social media of Motor.
