Motor Lublin concluded the spring round with numerous departures. Fans have reasons to worry. The club's new sports director, Veljko Nikitović, is working on incoming transfers, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. Mateusz Stolarski is losing key players. Motor lost the battle for Ivan Brkicia a few months ago. One of the best goalkeepers in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa league was waiting for a new contract offer from Motor, but it was only after Legia Warsaw contacted him that he finally received it. The Warsaw team offered him a three-year contract and better financial conditions. The departure of the goalkeeper has left coach Mateusz Stolarski unhappy, as he had expressed his desire to keep Brkicia in the team for the next season. However, it was just a wish. Stolarski combined his duties as coach and sports director during the winter transfer window, as the club had not appointed anyone to replace Paweł Golański, who had left. The coach did not have a significant influence on the negotiations regarding the extension of contracts with players, which is often delayed in Lublin, as in the case of Brkicia. Stolarski still had plans to keep Michał Króla, but the winger had already agreed with Wisła Płock in the winter and will join them on a free transfer. The club's owner, Zbigniew Jakubas, was able to sign a new contract with captain Bartosz Wolski, but this does not mean that the midfielder will definitely stay in Lublin. Wolski took advantage of the last-minute talks and included a buyout clause in his contract, which is worth just 100,000 euros. In addition to Brkicia and Króla, Motor has said goodbye to Filip Wójcik, Arkadiusz Najemski, Mathieu Scalet, and Renat Dadasov. The first two players were part of the team in the second league, survived two promotions and a return to Ekstraklasa with Motor. However, they did not say goodbye to the club and fans in the way they would have liked. The coaching staff decided not to hold a farewell ceremony on the stadium during the last home game of the season against Cracovia. The reason was that Motor still did not have a mathematically guaranteed place in the league, so the additional ceremony was waived. Wójcik and Najemski will probably be officially bid farewell during one of the matches in the next season. Ireneusz Wnuk / newspix.pl
