Motor Lublin starts the new season with ambitions. Coach Mariusz Misiura discovered that his team needs reinforcements. In the match against Widzew, the coach of the yellow-blue-white team had 12 players on the bench, including 11 from the field. Among the substitutes, there was no lack of youth. Krystian Brzozowski, Artem Akatov, Franciszek Lewandowski, Konrad Kraska, Kacper Plichta and Dominik Gregorski. From this group, only Lewandowski has already played minutes in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa. In addition, the list of substitutes was completed by: Gasper Tratnik, Tin Plavotić, Paskal Meyer, Christopher Simon, Florian Haxha and Makan Aiko. Therefore, Motor is constantly looking for reinforcements. Coach Misiura lifted the veil of secrecy about transfers during the press conference on Thursday. – We have three to four ongoing topics. Some are close to finalization, others are moving away. We are working hard, however. There will be no official information on transfers by Friday – admits Mariusz Misiura. And what positions still require supplementation? – We have a very strong starting lineup. I think the match against Widzew showed that every change we made met our expectations. We think about having such tools on the bench that could help us. Maybe a player at position nine or an offensive player at position eight would be useful. We are discussing this a lot within the club and exploring the market, which is possible. I believe that these moves we will make will allow us to be prepared for the next match – adds the coach of the yellow-blue-white team. Coach Misiura also spoke about how talks with Polish clubs about acquiring domestic players are going. – The market and the transfer window verify our plans every six months. We were interested in two to three Polish players who were close to or had been part of the U-21 team or the first team. When we came to the finalization and learned the prices, we saw that a player who currently plays in the 2. Bundesliga or La Liga 2, may be two to three years older, but is twice cheaper and has similar skills. As coaches, we want to develop the team by bringing in players of the right quality. We want Polish players, but seeing how much clubs, even from the first league, want, it verifies us. It turns out that we can't afford it or rather, investing large sums of money is not adequate. Then we rely on players from abroad – explains the coach of the Lublin team. The coach also revealed that Michał Król, who was presented as a new player of Wisła Płock at the end of May, is in the Motor's interest. The winger was given freedom by his new employer after just a few weeks to look for a club. – I valued him, I value him today and I will continue to value him. Whether he will return to the team will depend on many factors – convinces coach Misiura.
